Speech Therapy after Stroke or Brain Injury

Evaluation and treatment services for adults include:

• Aphasia intervention (individual, couples, and small group treatment available)
• Cognitive impairment and job retraining
• Memory improvement
• Dysarthria and secretion management
• Dysphagia (swallowing problems)

The client and the therapist are partners in the therapeutic process. Together we set the goals and evaluate progress.

Wildlife Illustration

Edward Rooks teaches illustration and painting techniques to beginning through advanced level adult artists. The classes are private or semi-private.

Accent Modification

You can change your accent or dialect through directed practice in private or small group classes. We use a variety of techniques to help you learn the sounds of English, American English word stress, and intonation patterns.

All materials are provided, and all instruction is personalized. Individual classes are held in one of our offices (Los Gatos or San Jose) or over the Internet using Skype. Small group classes can also be scheduled at a corporate site.
